PTO Policy Research Methodology

Published policy examples with explicit scope and traceable sources.

What a record represents

One record describes an employer, a covered employee group and a service tier. Multiple records from the same employer are not independent employers. The starting collection includes a health system and universities, labelled separately; it is not a hospital-only dataset.

Sources and review

Records use employer-published HR pages. We extract factual fields and write brief summaries. Each profile names its source section and review date. That date does not mean that the employer verified our summary. When the source does not clearly state an effective date or a field has not been captured, we label it accordingly.

Comparisons and calculations

Annual figures are the published full-time amounts for the listed tier. We retain published per-period rates separately; rounding means they need not multiply exactly to the annual figure. Combined PTO is not vacation-only leave. We do not publish rankings, percentiles or market averages from this small, non-random collection.

The planning model is annual hours × FTE × months / 12. It assumes an unchanged service tier and uniform accrual. It excludes payroll timing, rounding, leave usage, balance caps and eligibility tests.

Changes and corrections

Check the linked employer source before making a benefits decision. Records are manually reviewed and are not monitored in real time. Report errors to hello@intious.com with the profile and source link. Future updates should retain the previous record and record what changed.

Access and reuse

This initial collection and its exports are free. Exports include source URLs and review dates. A paid research pack is not yet on sale. The employer documents remain with their publishers; Intious does not redistribute the original documents.
