Convert weekly FTE hours to annual hours

For a simple 52-week capacity conversion, multiply weekly hours by 52. On a 40-hour baseline, 0.8 FTE is 32 weekly hours and 1,664 annual scheduled hours. This is not the same as actual worked hours after holidays, leave or other unavailable time.

Use the correct full-time baseline

FTE is a ratio, so the baseline is part of the answer. Ask whether the organization defines a full-time schedule as 40, 37.5, 35 or another number of hours. Use the same period on both sides of the calculation.
